50 Shades Of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey has got to be one of the most controversial works written for a long time. Critics have torn it apart for reasons varying from poor writing style to a rubbish story line. But, one has to wonder how much of this is based on plain old jealousy. After all, the trilogy has beaten all world records to become the fastest selling book ever. People simply can't get enough of it. We're talking sales figures that number in the millions, so it can't be that bad can it!

Anyone that is interested in any aspect of sex should fall on their knees and give thanks to E L James. She has opened the eyes of society to the fact that there is something more to life than the missionary position once a month. As teachers of Tantra, we are amazed how quickly people's perceptions of sex have changed. Suddenly it is OK to publicly discuss relationship issues and whether it is actually possible to improve ones sex life.

It is not only book critics that have jumped on the bandwagon of castigation though. The BDSM world really needs to wake up to how much good this trilogy has done for it. Stop whingeing that the story is too vanilla and consider the fact that overnight, BDSM has become a household topic of conversation. And it's all thanks to E L James!

The story features Anastasia as the heroine, who falls in love with Christian Grey, who happens to be a troubled rich kid that likes his sex rough. It's Mills and Boon meets the Marquis De Sade and it works. Stop complaining and give credit where it's due people!
