That's pretty much verbatim from the TG website but our personal experiences are just like they say. The first time we came across Torture Garden was at Erotica in Earls Court, where they put on a fashion show the like of which we'd never seen before. And that was it, we were hooked. We returned home and immediately got tickets for the Rubber Ball at Cynthia's by the Thames and set about creating our own costumes.

We arrived at Cynthia's to be greeted by the TG security staff, who were brilliant, they checked our bags to make sure we actually had suitable clothing with us (we were too wussy to wear it all the way from the north of England) and bade us have a great time. Which we did!

The energy hit us as soon as we walked through the door, we changed in the toilets, then headed out into the venue proper. The music was thumping, making our hearts race but they got even faster when we saw what was going on. The dance floor was packed but it was far more interesting to watch what was happening around the floor.
